Watch Paramount+ together, with video chat

Paramount+ offers no built-in way to watch with friends elsewhere. FlickTandem keeps the room on the same frame and adds video chat beside the show.

What to expect

Ad breaks on Paramount+

The Essential plan carries ads; the premium tier removes most of them. On ad-supported plans, one nudge after a break realigns the party.

  • Works from the shows and movies player pages on paramountplus.com.
  • Each person needs their own Paramount+ account or profile.

How Paramount+ behaves under sync

Paramount+ plays from a /video/ path and marks its ad container in the page, so FlickTandem holds off syncing during a break on the ad-supported tier rather than pulling everyone to the wrong spot.

How it works

Three steps, about thirty seconds

  1. 1

    Add the extension

Free, and it only acts on the streaming sites it supports. Pin it so join requests are one click away.

  2. 2

Open Paramount+ and start a party

Play whatever you're watching, then start a party from the FlickTandem popup and share the link.

  3. 3

    Approve your friends

Each guest waits until you let them in — or set a room password and skip the approving.

Questions

Paramount+ watch parties

Which Paramount+ plan syncs best?

The one without ad breaks. On the ad-supported tier everyone gets different ads, so expect to re-align once after each break; on the ad-free tier a film runs start to finish untouched.

Can we watch a live channel together?

Live streams have no position to synchronise — everyone is already at the same point by definition. FlickTandem's chat and video still work alongside one, but there's nothing for it to sync.
