Ad breaks on Prime Video

Prime Video shows ads on the standard tier unless you pay for the ad-free upgrade. During breaks sync pauses rather than fighting the player, and one seek afterwards realigns everyone.

Prime Video renders its player inside a nested frame, which FlickTandem handles — that's why the extension asks to run on Amazon domains as well as primevideo.com.
Amazon's own Watch Party allowed up to 100 people but had text chat only and no video.

Yes. Prime Video plays from the local Amazon domain in several countries, so FlickTandem covers amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, amazon.co.jp and amazon.in alongside primevideo.com.

Is Prime Video Watch Party gone?

Yes. Amazon discontinued it on 2 April 2024, including the Twitch-hosted version. It supported up to 100 participants with text chat, and each still needed their own Prime subscription.
