Watch Peacock together, with video chat

Peacock has no group-watch feature of its own. FlickTandem syncs playback across everyone in the room and adds webcam chat, which suits live-adjacent viewing where reactions are half the point.

What to expect

Ad breaks on Peacock

Most Peacock tiers include ads, and Premium Plus still carries them on some content. Expect a correction after breaks; FlickTandem holds off syncing while an ad is playing rather than yanking you mid-break.

  • Everyone needs their own Peacock account — a party does not share a stream.
  • Sports and live content are the least predictable to sync, since streams can start at slightly different points per viewer.

How Peacock behaves under sync

Peacock's playback URLs end in a title slug that can change, with the stable asset id sitting in front of it. FlickTandem keys on the asset id, so a party doesn't come apart because one person's URL renders the slug differently.

How it works

Three steps, about thirty seconds

  1. 1

    Add the extension

Free, and it only acts on the streaming sites it supports. Pin it so join requests are one click away.

  2. 2

Open Peacock and start a party

Play whatever you're watching, then start a party from the FlickTandem popup and share the link.

  3. 3

    Approve your friends

Each guest waits until you let them in — or set a room password and skip the approving.

Questions

Peacock watch parties

Does the free Peacock tier work?

Yes, with the caveat that applies to any ad-supported tier: breaks are served per viewer and differ in length, so you'll drift apart during one. FlickTandem stops syncing while an ad is detected, and one nudge afterwards puts everyone back together.

Peacock is US-only — can friends abroad join?

Only if they can reach Peacock themselves. FlickTandem synchronises playback between browsers; it never streams video, so it can't give anyone access to a service they can't already watch.
